About Meaco Measurement and Control
Meaco developed the first wireless environmental monitoring in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert museum back in 1991.Since then the company has developed its range of environmental monitoring and control equipment to include data loggers, handheld devices, humidifiers, de-humidifiers and controllers. In Sept 2005 the company split into two with Meaco (UK) Ltd continuing as an online retailer to the general public with the preventative conservation side of the business transferring to Meaco Measurement and Control who specialise in environmental monitoring and control for museums, archives and galleries.
We are now based in Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire which provides us with the benefits of such a central location and makes it easier for us to provide an excellent level of service to all our customers – from the Isle of Wight to the Isle of Orkney.
We pride ourselves on a flexible approach and a high level of customer service. We have a loyal customer base with whom we enjoy excellent working partnerships. We welcome feedback and work hard to make sure that the products and services that Meaco supply meet the needs of our customers.
To this end, we have our own online shop where smaller items can be purchased without the need to raise a purchase order and can be paid for securely through the Stripe portal.
In 2018 we are proud to be working with Testo to promote their new WiFi loggers developed specifically with the heritage sector in mind.

Meet the Team
Michael Hall – Director
I am the face of Meaco! I can most often be found out and about making sure our awesome customers are happy and have monitoring and control kit that makes their lives easier. I enjoy building long-term relationships and consider many customer good friends. I love a challenge and finding new ways to achieve the results you want quicker and simpler. My current passion is the cloud and internet of things but importantly finding the balance between my new toys and your real needs.
Outside of the office I enjoy wild camping and photography and going on “adventures”. I love to watch Rugby – from the comfort of the sofa, beverage in hand.
Samantha Greatbatch – Director
Hi – I sit very much behind the scenes for most of the time – but still manage to hear all and see all! My main focus is making sure that Meaco meets the needs and wants of the heritage sector in product range, price and possibly most importantly service. My latest project is developing this website so that its quicker and easier to get the information you need and buy the products you want whilst still maintaining the friendly, knowledgeable and professional team here in the office. We are always happy to offer advice on any aspect of environmental monitoring and control and genuinely do enjoy working with museums across the spectrum.
At home, I have three cats. Dexter – who loves to play fetch and attack my ankles from behind doors, Tabitha – who likes to watch everything from up high and her son Puddles McGraw. Least said about that little terror the better! I am also a massive Walking Dead and Game of Thrones geek!
Carly Jade Lench – Office Superstar
Hi – I am new to Meaco although I have known Samantha and Michael for many years so am familiar with the company and am excited to be part of it. I am here to help with any questions you may have. I will be your main contact for arranging visits, placing your orders and very much hope to meet you at trade shows.
At home, I have a husband and three awesome children! As my youngest is not yet 2 I enjoy any sleep that I can get and family days out.
